Cursus beschrijving

Ideal for those young students who are interested in learning windsurfing at a perfect location, want to immerse themselves in the life of an authentically English seaside resort, develop their English skills, have a memorable time and make international friends.

Our 'English & Windsurfing package includes tuition, homestay, a full programme of activities in the afternoons and evenings, and a full-day trip on Saturday. Afternoon activities on Tuesday to Friday consist of windsurfing lessons at the appropriate skill level that take place at the same venue as the sailing events of the 2012 Olympics. Students receive a Royal Yachting Association Certificate at the end of the course.

This English course has 15 full hours of lessons each week from elementary level up to advanced. This includes the written and oral test and the induction on the first day. Lessons are usually from 09.00 to 12.30 with a total break time of 30 minutes.

The main objectives of the lessons are to improve your communication skills, expand your vocabulary and develop your fluency, accuracy and confidence in using the language in everyday situations. There is a lot of speaking and listening in the lessons but we also cover vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading and writing. You will learn and practise English in a meaningful, memorable and enjoyable way.

WEC is de buurt van Weymouth gevestigd en is één van de meest populaire scholen in VK. De school specialiseerd in Engels onderwijzen aan buitenlandse studenten zoals uzelf. De shoolklassen zijn zeer klein (15 maximale studenten) en al de school's docenten spreken Engels als moedertaal. Zij hebben ook zeer vriendelijke docenten en medewerkers die goed voor u zullen zorgen terwijl u in Weymouth bent.

School locatie

WEC uses Weymouth College as its base in the summer. One of the buildings of the campus is used for the classes with green space to relax outside. Students have their lunch at the college canteen, play sports in the sports centre, use the theatre, dance and drama hall for a variety of fun activities. Only 5 minutes' walk away is the amazing Weymouth beach where students can play beach volleyball and play outdoor games.

Weymouth, a genuinely English town in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, is the perfect location for a summer course for teenagers. Ideally located on the south coast of England with a 5 kilometre sandy beach, street cafes, great shopping, an old fort the town has plenty to offer. The optional sailing and windsurfing courses take place at the same venue as the sailing events of the 2012 Olympics.

visa

Visa assistentie

We kunnen geen visas voor studenten aanvragen. De school kan u echter wel met alle benodigde documentatie voorzien die u nodig heeft voor uw visa aanvraag.

Indien u voor meer dan 11 maanden in de VK studeert, zult u een referentie nummer ontvangen genaamd Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) die u bij de VK ambassade in dient te leveren samen met uw Standaard Studenten Visa aanmeldingsformulier. Studenten die succesvol een talen cursus gereserveerd hebben en die hun kosten betaald hebben zullen een CAS van WEC ontvangen. Let aub op dat UK wet aangeeft dat een CAS alleen aan studenten gegeven kan worden die Engelse taal studies willen gaan doen die meer dan 11 maanden duren.

Indien u voor 11 maanden of minder in de VK studeert, dient u een speciale bezoeker's visa aan te vragen genaamd Student Visitor Visa. Als student bezoeker, zult u niet in staat zijn part-time te werken terwijl u studeert. Indien u van plan bent om 11 maanden of minder in de UK te studeren, zal een acceptatiebrief naar u gestuurd worden tegen geen extra kosten.
