Confident Conversations

Course description English intensive course
This 4-week Intensive B1 Course takes you from “getting by” to communicating with real confidence. You learn to handle everyday and social situations more smoothly, describe experiences in detail, and express your opinions clearly – both in speaking and in writing.

Grammar and vocabulary are integrated into practical topics: telling stories in the past, discussing news and current events, comparing options, giving advice, and explaining reasons. You also practise how to connect your ideas so your speech and writing sound more natural and fluent.

Listening activities train you to follow faster, less “textbook” English, including different accents. Reading tasks expose you to articles, emails, and short stories, helping you understand the main ideas and finer details.

Whether you join us in Vienna or online, you benefit from interactive group work, regular feedback, and clear progress tracking. On-site participants also have access to the LcL Language Lab – perfect for refining pronunciation, intonation, and natural rhythm so you sound confident in every conversation.

LcL Language Institute is in het hartje Wenen gevestigd en is één van de meest populaire scholen in Oostenrijk. De school specialiseerd in Engels onderwijzen aan buitenlandse studenten zoals uzelf. De shoolklassen zijn zeer klein (8 maximale studenten) en al de school's docenten spreken Engels als moedertaal. Zij hebben ook zeer vriendelijke docenten en medewerkers die goed voor u zullen zorgen terwijl u in Wenen bent.

School locatie

In one of the most beautiful streets of the 7th district in Vienna.

The top renovated rooms of our old Viennese Biedermeier house from 1695 offer a comfortable and modern atmosphere to help you focus on your learning. Our offices contain five classrooms, each about 10 to 25 square meters. Every classroom is furnished with easy-to-move desks and chairs, as well as a cloakroom. On sunny days, our picturesque courtyard is also available for lessons outside. Our language institute is on the ground floor. The building itself is under monument protection, it is one of the oldest houses of Vienna. Right around the corner from the school, you will find numerous cafés, restaurants and bars as well as museums, theaters and cinemas.

Buses: 48A (St Ulrichs Platz or Kellermanngasse) or 13A (Neubaugasse/Westbahnstraße or Burggasse/Neubaugasse)

If you're traveling by car, the Contipark Garage Museumsquartier or the Payuca Garage Kirchberggasse are available for a parking fee.

"I had a good experience and improved my language skills during my time there."

The location is practical and accessible. The facilities are new and some are still being renovated/improved. Some equipment such as headphones and microphones were not fully set up and were used on the last day of class. The instructor was really good, spoke clearly and explained things well. The setup of the classes was good. Ideally, it would be great to switch up class activities and make them a bit more dynamic so that it’s not as repetitive over time (such as creating dialogues or conversations). The staff is friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that they provided us with water for every class. Overall I had a very good experience. While there are things still being set up or renovated, I think this institute already has great potential for being a good resource for language learning.
